Grow your business faster without working so hard
NOTE: Enrollment now closed!
Things are going okay in your business right now, but growth is slow, and sales are inconsistent. You’re not sure how much of it is your strategy or the economy, but you can’t help but feel like you should be getting better results for how hard you work.
You create, you promote, you sell, and you feel like you’re doing all of the “right things”. But for some reason, sales are down and nothing’s working.
It definitely doesn’t feel easy, and it’s certainly nothing like the dream you had when you set out to work for yourself and run your own business.
You’re overworking and underwhelmed with results
It feels like you have to put in a lot of effort just to get by. Then tomorrow, you have to wake up and do it all over again if you don’t want to fall behind. Whenever you give yourself the rare break from work, you stop growing. And when you put in the overtime (which you often do), it hardly seems to move the needle.
Your content is good (people tell you as much), you have quality products (the testimonials to prove it), and you’re at least somewhat consistent with social media (though you know posting every day isn’t a strategy on its own).
So what’s missing?
When you have your systems set up the right way, everything runs smoothly without hiccups. You’re not interrupted constantly. Things don’t stop working when you take time off.
You grow faster over time.
You work less hard over time.
You make more money over time.
If things aren’t getting easier, and you’re not producing more results and growing faster than you were before, it’s time to take a look at your systems.
You’re tired of the hamster wheel and heading toward burnout
As a business owner, you should be focused on growth. If your business stops working when you do, you don’t have a business, you have a job.
Flywheels are magic. They help give you leverage so you can create many copies of yourself.
The first goal with flywheels is to free yourself up.
Your systems need to be set up so that things run smoothly all of the time—and without you constantly getting involved. You can’t keep getting bogged down with the little things in your business.
Flywheels will help you reach a place where you can focus on revenue instead of busywork.
Flywheels are the drivers of your business
Your business needs an operating system.
Instead of putting out fires, your time should be spent on vision and strategy. You’re doing some of this right now but not nearly enough. Not nearly as much as you know you should be. Think about your business in 10 years: are you really going to remember what scheduling app you used? Probably not. But you will remember setting a vision, building a brand, and recruiting incredible people.
You’re probably a lot closer to the future you want than you realize. You already have all of the pieces you need to construct the flywheels your business requires; they’re just not connected to each other. They’re not optimized to flow smoothly into one another, and they’re not engineered to give you leverage and produce compound results on each rotation.
Flywheels are way easier than you think to set up. But you might be wondering:
- How do I know whether my flywheel is set up correctly?
- How do I know if my flywheel will produce results?
- Which flywheel should I even build first?
- How do I connect multiple flywheels?
Maybe you know you’re simply never going to get around to doing this (even though you know you should) unless you have someone holding your feet to the fire. Maybe you benefit from having an event on your calendar so you have some accountability. That way, you can simply show up and know someone is going to help you build.
Let me help you build your flywheels so your business grows while you sleep
I’m working on putting the finishing touches on the Creator Flywheels course.
I did an initial Pilot Program with a group of students over the summer where I taught the material in real time on calls and helped them build their flywheels.
From that group experience, I refined the material and recorded an initial set of video lessons:
- Lesson 0: Introduction: Why flywheels?
- Lesson 1: Law #1 Activities flow smoothly from one into the next
- Lesson 2: Law #2 Each rotation is easier than last
- Lesson 3: Law #3 Each rotation produces more than the last
- Lesson 4: Build this flywheel first
- Lesson 5: Closing the loop
- Lesson 6: Setting flywheel goals
- Lesson 7: Simplifying flywheels
- Lesson 8: Making effective SOPs
- Lesson 9: Flywheel checklist
- Lesson 10: Automate everything
- Lesson 11: Nested flywheels
- Lesson 12: Flywheel Components
Before I continue with filming the final polished version of these lessons (with a professional film crew), I want to work with one more pilot group to get feedback on the lessons.
This situation is unique because I rarely produce and release new courses—but also, whenever I do, I typically don’t include my personal time with any offers nowadays because I’m so busy building ConvertKit.
This will be the last pilot group I do before the course launches.
The final version of the course will not be a cohort. It will be a self-paced course.
The reason I’m investing so much of my personal time in developing this material is I really believe in the concept of flywheels. I believe they are the future and how the most successful creators will earn their living.
If you’re just interested in the material, I would suggest waiting for the official launch of the self-paced course.
But if you’re interested in joining a small group who will get early access to the lessons and join several calls with me to help you build your flywheels, consider joining this last pilot group.
Creator Flywheels Course – Pilot Program
Who is this for?
You are a creator with an established business making at least $100,000. You know you’re leaving a lot of revenue on the table by not having good systems in place. Your audience is growing but it’s slow going. You feel like with the right flywheel in place, your audience size would increase a lot faster. You feel like you’re working way too hard for the results you’re getting, and you want some help implementing flywheels that will make things easier for you and keep you from burning out.
By enrolling in the Pilot Program, you’re getting early access to the Creator Flywheels course where you’ll participate in a virtual cohort that will meet with me three times for 90-minute calls:
Agenda
- Cohort Call 1
- Answer your questions on lessons 1–4
- Work on your flywheels (I’ll review and help you refine them)
- Cohort Call 2
- Answer your questions on lessons 5–8
- Work on your flywheels (I’ll review and help you refine them)
- Cohort Call 3
- Answer your questions on lessons 9–12
- Work on your flywheels (I’ll review and help you refine them)
Schedule
Our calls will be held at 11:00am Mountain Time on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Oct 31
- Thursday, Nov 2
- Thursday, Nov 16
Please join only if you can make the calls on these dates.
After this Pilot Program, I will be launching the official course, which will be self-paced. I may or may not do another cohort in the future. It depends on my time and availability. If I do make another virtual cohort edition of the course available after the launch, it will be priced at $2,500 or more. I’m also entertaining the idea of possibly doing an in-person cohort at some point in the future, but that will be at an even higher price point.
But the Pilot Program isn’t $2,500 like future cohorts will be. Instead, it’s just $1,500.
The reason I’m offering the Pilot Program at $1,500 instead of $2,500 is as a thank-you to those of you who are buying early. Your feedback is helping me make this as good as possible.
As a student of the Pilot Program, you’ll also get free access to the full course when it launches (that will be produced by a professional film crew).
There are fewer than 10 spots available, because I’m giving each person in the cohort personalized feedback.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, I recommend grabbing a spot now because the initial pilot sold out fast. I expect these spots to go quickly as well.
